How dissonant to think of the multitude of versions of ‘you’ there are in the world. Every interaction with someone is the pressing of a shutter button, capturing your essence of that given moment in a Polaroid which is then filed away in that person’s brain.

Those that stick with us have the pleasure of collecting an albums worth - discarding the irrelevant, and framing the powerful.

Those brief, fleeting, or shallow touches with others still create an apparition. Often one we outgrow quickly so ‘present us’ no longer resembles that imprint at all.

Neutralise those versions and people. They are no longer relevant.

More importantly, we add to our own album. Every day there is a slight shift or adjustment in our thoughts and feelings which creates a new picture.

So which version is the real us? Which is the elusive ‘best me’ that we strive for? The moments in time preserved by others? Or the collections of us held by our closest? All are important, for each photo would not be possible without the one before it.

But it’s those we choose to frame in our own home that are the true us. The Resilient, The Driven, The Compassionate.

Quieten the ghosts, take strength from your curated images.
