Controlling the Controllables

In a previous post, I mentioned one of my 3 keys to 2018 was 'controlling the controllables'. I was never happy with my explanation of this one, as it's so important to me and who I am. I decided it deserved it's very own post (way hay hay!)
I truly believe that this 'key' is the essence to life fulfilment. It's the way to get out of ruts, to change negatives into positives, and to carve your path forward. I found this great wee infographic that illustrates my point

If we are able to focus on what we can control, things suddenly become more free, and lighter. We may not always get the results we want, but we can be satisfied in knowing that we tried everything we could.
Another way to look at it was brought to my attention by none other than the freshest prince himself - Mr. Smith. Check out the video to see his take on the same idea
Things may not be your fault. They may be out of your control. But it most certainly is your responsibility to move on - which is in your realm of control.
Any food for thought you'd like to hear my take on? Or just anything you think would make a good post? Leave a comment below :)
